Dell XPS 15 to kolejny laptop, którego recenzję publikujemy niedługo po wprowadzeniu do sprzedaży. Nie dość, że na czasie, to jest ona oczekiwana przez spore grono osób zainteresowanych tym modelem. XPS 15 to bowiem chyba pierwszy w Polsce model Della oferowany przez producenta od początku w atrakcyjnych cenach. Do niedawna był on zresztą wielką niewiadomą; liczymy na to, że niniejszy artykuł da początek systematyzowaniu wiedzy na jego temat.

Reasons to buy the Dell XPS 15 are many. It’s a refreshing update to Dell’s premier laptop range, combining features and options that are hard to find in many other mainstream laptops. A full-HD screen, USB 3.0 ports, Nvidia 3D TV Play, very good onboard sound, striking looks and features -- all this at a not quite insanely high price. If you’re looking for a very good desktop replacement laptop at the Rs. 50,000 mark, make sure you check out the new Dell XPS 15.

Dell XPS 17 doczekał się dwóch recenzji w naszym serwisie. Nie inaczej musiało być z mniejszym modelem XPS 15 (L501x). I w tym przypadku wariantem testowanym jako drugi był ten słabszy, z dwurdzeniowym procesorem oraz kartą graficzną GeForce GT 420M. Zakładaliśmy, że tym razem sprawdzimy model ze standardową matrycą HD Ready, ale ostatecznie otrzymaliśmy egzemplarz z wyświetlaczem Full HD.
Dell XPS 17 doczekał się dwóch recenzji w naszym serwisie. Nie inaczej musiało być z mniejszym modelem XPS 15 (L501x). I w tym przypadku wariantem testowanym jako drugi był ten słabszy, z dwurdzeniowym procesorem oraz kartą graficzną GeForce GT 420M. Zakładaliśmy, że tym razem sprawdzimy model ze standardową matrycą HD Ready, ale ostatecznie otrzymaliśmy egzemplarz z wyświetlaczem Full HD.

Pierwsza generacja modeli XPS 15 wyróżniała się pozytywnie na tle konkurencji świetną matrycą Full HD z podświetleniem B+RG LED oraz przyjemnym brzmieniem głośników JBL. Krytykowano natomiast kulturę pracy i temperatury robocze tych laptopów. W teście modelu drugiej generacji, L502x z dwurdzeniowym procesorem Core i5 i kartą grafiki GF GT 540M, kluczowym zagadnieniem było sprawdzenie, czy wady Della zostały skorygowane. Przy okazji sprawdzono oczywiście wydajność nowych podzespołów Intela i Nvidii.
Pierwsza generacja modeli XPS 15 wyróżniała się pozytywnie na tle konkurencji świetną matrycą Full HD z podświetleniem B+RG LED oraz przyjemnym brzmieniem głośników JBL. Touch has come a long way, baby. From the first Windows convertible tablets (which are still being produced by a couple of manufacturers) to the Apple iPad in all of its touch glory, touch-input devices today look and feel a lot better than they used to. The highly configurable XPS 15 is a speedy performer, and the touch screen in our test unit was both convenient and fun. It's a winning touch laptop.

The majority of this review shouldn’t come as much of a surprise. We know quad-core Sandy Bridge is faster than Clarksfield, and it’s much faster than Arrandale. It also manages reasonable power usage under light loads, although higher loads can definitely suck down power. So take one of our favorite laptops from last year and update the system with a Sandy Bridge CPU and a slightly newer GPU and what do you get?

Po recenzji modelu XPS 14 L421x kolej na test większego Della XPS 15 L521x. Jest to bardzo drogi laptop, szczególnie w odniesieniu do podzespołów obliczeniowych, które nie są nadzwyczaj mocne. W związku z tym wszystkie niedociągnięcia i mankamenty należało ocenić surowo. W testowanym modelu na krytykę zasłużyło głównie zaniżanie taktowania podzespołów pod pełnym obciążeniem.
Po recenzji modelu XPS 14 L421x kolej na test większego Della XPS 15 L521x. Jest to bardzo drogi laptop, szczególnie w odniesieniu do podzespołów obliczeniowych, które nie są nadzwyczaj mocne. The Dell XPS 15 is a great all-rounder laptop. Come to it expecting superlatives, especially the version tested, and you may come away disappointed. However, it is very versatile indeed. It offers a powerful CPU, a competent discrete graphics card, a screen happy with the outdoors and a frame that's light and slim given the rest of the spec. It can do everything pretty well, without the power compromises of an ultra-skinny laptop, or the portability ones of a workstation. Some will be disappointed with the stamina, but it's actually rather respectable given the processor. It's a laptop that's good at just about everything, bar lasting absolutely ages between charges.

I’ll try to keep it short this time. The Dell XPS 15 9550 I5/960M version is a very good machine in my opinion, more than the usual $1000 gaming laptops – way more thin & lightweight, much better build quality, display has much higher contrast than the others and keyboard is better than compared to some of them too. And remember the better support in the form of drivers/bios updates.
