Intel Core i5-11600K to wysokiej klasy procesor do komputerów stacjonarnych oparty na architekturze Rocket Lake. Procesor oferuje 6 rdzeni i 12 wątków taktowanych zegarem 3,9 - 4,9 GHz (tylko Turbo Boost 2.0). Przy wykorzystaniu wszystkich rdzeni taktowanie procesora może wynosić nawet 4,6 GHz.
Współczynnik TDP wynosi 125 W (PL1, limit mocy przy stałym obciążeniu), ale PL2 jest ustawiony na około 250 W dla krótkotrwałych wzrostów (do 56 sekund).
Rdzenie procesora Sunny Cove (znane z mobilnych CPU Ice Lake ) oferują większe pamięci podręczne i ulepszone IPC (do 19%). Co więcej, układ zawiera również (częściowo) zintegrowane WiFi 6E i Thunderbolt 4. Platforma obsługuje PCIe 4.0 i Intel DL Boost dla akceleracji AI.
Dzięki szybszej architekturze rdzenia, 11600K może pokonać stare i5-10600K o około 20 procent. Dlatego też i5-11600K jest dobrym wyborem ze średniej półki cenowej do gier.
Szybsze procesory Rocket Lake-S integrują również nowy układ graficzny Intel UHD Graphics 750, który bazuje na obecnej architekturze Intel Xe (np. mobilnej Tiger Lake) i oferuje 32 EU. W 11600K GPU jest taktowany zegarem od 350 do 1300 MHz.
Procesor jest produkowany w starym procesie 14 nm, podobnie jak poprzednicy Comet Lake. Pobór mocy nie jest tak wysoki, jak w przypadku Core i9-11900K, ale nie może zbliżyć się do energooszczędnego Ryzena 5 5600X.
