Intel Core i7-11700 to wysokiej klasy procesor do komputerów stacjonarnych oparty na architekturze Rocket Lake. Procesor oferuje 8 rdzeni i 16 wątków taktowanych zegarem od 2,5 do 4,9 GHz. Współczynnik TDP wynosi 65 W (PL1, limit mocy przy stałym obciążeniu), ale PL2 jest ustawiony na około 224 W dla krótkotrwałych wzrostów (do 56 sekund).

Rdzenie procesora Sunny Cove (znane z mobilnych CPU Ice Lake ) oferują większe pamięci podręczne i ulepszone IPC (do 19%). Co więcej, układ zawiera również (częściowo) zintegrowane WiFi 6E i Thunderbolt 4. Platforma obsługuje PCIe 4.0 i Intel DL Boost dla akceleracji AI.

Szybsze procesory Rocket Lake-S integrują również nowy układ Intel UHD Graphics 750, który bazuje na obecnej architekturze Intel Xe (np. mobilnej Tiger Lake).

Procesor jest produkowany w starym procesie technologicznym 14 nm, podobnie jak poprzednicy Comet Lake.
