Qualcomm SD 888+ 5G

Qualcomm Snapdragon 888+ (Plus) 5G Mobile Platform to wysokiej klasy SoC dla smartfonów, który został wprowadzony w połowie 2021 roku i wyprodukowany w 5 nm w firmie Samsung.

Integruje jeden "Prime Core" oparty na architekturze ARM Cortex-X1 taktowanej zegarem do 3 GHz. Trzy kolejne wydajne rdzenie są oparte na A78, ale taktowane zegarem do 2,42 GHz. Ponadto zintegrowano cztery energooszczędne rdzenie oparte na architekturze ARM Cortex-A55 i taktowane zegarem do 1,8 GHz. Oprócz rdzeni procesora, SoC integruje modem WiFi 6e, Hexagon 780 DSP (do 26 TOPS wydajności AI) i Spectra 580 ISP. Zintegrowany kontroler pamięci obsługuje teraz szybszą pamięć LPDDR5 o częstotliwości do 3200 MHz. 5G jest teraz zawarte w chipie z modemem Snapdragon X60.

W porównaniu do starszego Snapdragon 888888+ oferuje nieco wyżej taktowany główny rdzeń (+160 MHz) i o 23% szybszy procesor DSP Hexagon 790. W związku z tym jest to obecnie najszybszy SoC Android (w momencie ogłoszenia), ale wciąż nieco wolniejszy (CPU i GPU) niż Apple A14 i A15 Bionic SoCs.
