Ma to jednak swoją cenę, bo chociaż w tym roku seria zalicza przesiadkę na układy Qualcomm, to realme wybrało Snapdragona 6 Gen 1 i Snapdragona 7s Gen 2 (oba zapewniają takie zaplecze komunikacyjne, jak ubiegłoroczne MediaTeki), a ten ostatni spotkać można w sporo tańszych modelach, jak choćby testowane ostatnio przeze mnie POCO X6, które na dodatek wypada też lepiej w kilku innych elementach. Jak wyświetlacz, bo teoretycznie zastosowany panel nie ma się czego wstydzić, to AMOLED o rozdzielczości i 1080 x 2412 pikseli i odświeżaniu 120 Hz, ale konkurencja w tej cenie oferuje często więcej (zarówno POCO X6, jak i OnePlus Nord 3 5G, oferują wyższą rozdzielczość i jasność maksymalną). Nie można też nie wspomnieć, że chociaż czas pracy na baterii to z pewnością mocna strona realme 12 Pro i 12 Pro+, to producent zrezygnował z ładowania 100 W przy wyższym modelu i w tym roku obie wersje naładujemy 67W - niby drobiazg, ale jednak.

Realme 12 Pro jest udanym modelem smartfonu. Od 12 do 24 marca kupimy go w promocji za 1799 zł, a jego normalna cena to 1999 zł. Biorąc pod uwagę zestaw trzech użytecznych aparatów, w tym dwóch ze stabilizacją optyczną, wysokiej jakości wyświetlacz i długi czas pracy na baterii to jedna z najatrakcyjniejszych propozycji ze średniej półki. Podoba mi się również zastosowanie ekoskóry zamiast gładkiego tworzywa na obudowie. Z drugiej strony złote elementy wykończenia obudowy nie są dla każdego. Tył obudowy wygląda elegancko, ale plastikowa rama częściowo ten efekt psuje. Wydajność nie poprawiła się w porównaniu ze starszym modelem. Szkoda, że norma uszczelnienia obudowy realme to jedynie IP65, a nie IP68. Natomiast największym kompromisem jest zarezerwowanie stabilizacji wideo wyłącznie dla trybu 1080/60p. W efekcie możliwości nagrywania wideo są mocno ograniczone. Są to jednak częste bolączki średniej półki i realme w kwestii wideo nie jest wyjątkiem.

This premium experience can be seen everywhere, including its leather design, superb display, speedy chipsets, excellent cameras, and great batteries. These are its greatest strengths. On top of that, the curved nature of the displays further enhances the premium experience of the new smartphones. However, there are some cons as well, especially if you consider the prices of the two smartphones, which are not cheap by any means. One of the major cons is the lack of any display protection. In the premium smartphone category, this is a must. The second would be the lack of wireless charging, which is not a must but would have been nice to have. It would have certainly set it apart from others in the market. Right now, the new smartphone doesn’t offer much that its competition in the same price bracket doesn’t already offer, except for the cameras. The cameras of the Realme 12 Pro and Realme 12 Pro Plus are indeed better than the competition.

To answer the question in the title, is the Realme 12 Pro the best phone under Rs. 25,000? It has a decent set of cameras that gives you a wide, ultrawide, and dedicated telephoto lens. The processor and RAM combination is powerful enough to handle multitasking and future updates. And the battery management & charging tech is also at par with some of the more expensive phones. On the other hand, the display isn’t bright enough for outdoor use, some features in the UI don’t work, and the images are still not as good as they should be with the current specs. That said, at Rs 23,999, the Realme 12 Pro is a good option if you want a mid-range smartphone for daily use. Realme has also bagged recognition for being a reliable smartphone service provider. So you can also expect good after-sales support if you go for this device. As for me, I’ve seen Realme make some bold phones in the past, and the theme seems to slow down with the Realme 12 Pro lineup. It is a great package with decent specs, and should easily last you a couple of years.

There's not a lot you're missing out on. It's a great phone for the price, but the only question is, would I recommend it over phones like the Poco X6 Pro? If cameras and design are more important to you, then you should buy the Realme 12 Pro; if performance is more important, then I'd say go for the Poco.

The Realme 12 Pro 5G comes with a Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC, which is a 4nm chipset said to provide better performance and efficiency when compared to the older model. I'll have to test the claims to find out if it's true, but everything seemed smooth at first glance. The chipset is paired with 8GB RAM and up to 256GB onboard storage. The handset gets dual-band Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, and GPS connectivity. Realme has packed a 5,000mAh battery on the Realme 12 Pro 5G with 67W fast charging support, the same as last year. I'll test the battery performance in my full review. The phone runs Android 14-based RealmeUI out-of-the-box, and you do get plenty of bloatware.
