Jeszcze bardziej przystępna cenowo jest tylko seria Lenovo ThinkPad E, która nie posiada takich funkcji jak WWAN i czytniki kart Smart, a zatem jest bardziej odpowiednia dla konsumentów lub małych firm. ThinkPad L14 to jeden z najpopularniejszych modeli z serii L - dziś recenzujemy Lenovo ThinkPad L14 Gen 4 z procesorami Intel. Obudowa i łączność: Znana plastikowa konstrukcja ThinkPad L
Obudowa jest taka sama, jak ta, którą już testowaliśmy z Lenovo ThinkPad L14 Gen 4 AMD. Z zewnątrz laptop jest wykonany z matowego szarego plastiku. Ekran i oparcie dłoni mają gładką farbę, spód i ramka wyświetlacza mają szorstką teksturę - niezbyt przyjemną, ale spełnia swoją rolę. Nie mamy większych zastrzeżeń do stabilności, chociaż ThinkPad L jest nieco bardziej elastyczny niż na przykład seria T, ponieważ brakuje mu magnezowej klatki bezpieczeństwa. Szczególnie lewy dolny róg może być nieco skręcony. Srebrne zawiasy z metalowymi nakładkami pewnie trzymają ekran, ale nie pozwalają na otwarcie jedną ręką. Maksymalny kąt otwarcia wynosi 180 stopni.
W porównaniu do ThinkPada L14 G4 AMD, L14 G4 Intel zyskuje port Thunderbolt 4, którego brakuje wariantowi Ryzen. Cechą szczególną tego modelu jest czytnik kart microSD, funkcja niespotykana w większości najnowszych laptopów ThinkPad. Szybkość działania czytnika jest przeciętna. Nieco ograniczone jest rozwiązanie Wi-Fi, Lenovo umieszcza w starym Intel AX201. Spełnia swoje zadanie, ale obsługuje tylko Wi-Fi 6, a nie bardziej nowoczesne standardy Wi-Fi 6E lub 7
Możliwości rozbudowy ThinkPada L14 Gen 4 są dobre. ThinkPad ma dwa gniazda SO-DIMM, które przyjmują moduły w przestarzałym standardzie DDR4. Maksymalnie można zainstalować 64 GB. Dysk SSD jest również modułowy, ale Lenovo niestety używa małego rozmiaru M.2 2242. Maksymalna pojemność jest z tego powodu ograniczona. Wnęka M.2 2242 jest otwarta. Tutaj można umieścić opcjonalną kartę WWAN, z odpowiednimi antenami już na miejscu. Bardzo pozytywnym aspektem jest wymienna klawiatura, której obecnie brakuje w większości nowoczesnych laptopów.

Kolejną słabością tego taniego panelu jest kiepskie pokrycie gamy kolorów. Ekran ten nie nadaje się do pracy z kolorami, ani nie jest przyjemny w użyciu do multimediów, ponieważ kolorom również brakuje głębi.
Podświetlenie LED również nie jest szczególnie mocne, przez co ThinkPad L14 G4 nie nadaje się do użytku na zewnątrz.

Procesor Intel Core i5-1335U to procesor z dziesięcioma rdzeniami, których częstotliwość taktowania wynosi od 1,3 do 4,6 GHz dla dwóch rdzeni P lub od 0,9 do 3,4 GHz dla ośmiu rdzeni E. Jako układ Raptor Lake U, Intel zaplanował ten układ dla TDP od 15 do 30 W. Nasz Lista procesorów można wykorzystać do szczegółowego porównania wydajności.
Dzięki niskim limitom mocy wydajność Lenovo ThinkPad L14 Gen 4 mieści się w oczekiwanym zakresie. Jest ona wystarczająca do zastosowań biurowych, ale model ten nie jest mistrzem wydajności. Wariant AMD ThinkPada z procesorem AMD Ryzen 5 Pro 7530U jest szybszy w obciążeniach wielordzeniowych, ale słabnie w testach porównawczych pojedynczego rdzenia.
W trybie bateryjnym Lenovo ogranicza wydajność procesora. Zamiast 9000 punktów, ThinkPad osiąga jedynie 6000 punktów w teście Cinebench R23 Multicore.

Dysk SSD M.2 2242 firmy Western Digital ma pojemność 512 GB. W porównaniu wydajności ta pamięć flash PCIe NVMe 4.0 jest jedną z szybszych, co pomaga Lenovo ThinkPad L14 Gen 4 Intel osiągnąć dobrą prędkość w codziennym użytkowaniu.

GPU
Nie dziwi więc fakt, że Lenovo ThinkPad L14 Gen 4 osiąga jedynie wyniki poniżej średniej w benchmarkach GPU. Procesor graficzny iGPU Iris Xe z 80 EU w tym laptopie i tak nie jest najszybszym GPU, a dodatkowo kaleczy go jednokanałowa pamięć RAM. Do prostych zadań biurowych GPU jest wystarczająco szybki. Wszystko inne najlepiej wykonywać na innych urządzeniach. Do gier po długim dniu pracy L14 G4 Intela zdecydowanie nie jest odpowiednim laptopem.

Hałas
ThinkPad pozostaje cichy na biegu jałowym, a nawet przy średnim obciążeniu (profil: zrównoważony). Dopiero w trybie wydajnościowym (profil: Najlepsza wydajność) podczas testu obciążeniowego włącza się wentylator L14 G4 Intela. Nawet tutaj nie robi się szczególnie głośno, osiągając zaledwie 32 dB(a).
Wykryliśmy trochę wycie cewki. Był on jednak ledwo słyszalny i można go było usłyszeć tylko po przyłożeniu ucha do klawiatury.

Podczas testu obciążeniowego z Prime95 i FurMark nie wykryliśmy throttlingu.

Lenovo ThinkPad L14 Gen 4 to solidny wybór dla typowego pracownika biurowego, ale nie więcej. W wielu obszarach widać, że ten system nie jest najnowszym sprzętem - bez względu na to, czy chodzi o projekt, czy o komponenty.
Dla nas mniej chodzi o procesor, a bardziej o aspekty takie jak ekran. format 16:9 jest już po prostu przestarzały w laptopach, a jakość ekranu jest poniżej średniej. Również żywotność baterii jest rozczarowująca, a wydajność nie jest niczym szczególnym. Przynajmniej urządzenia wejściowe są bardzo dobre, opcje łączności są bardzo dobre, a urządzenie działa bez dużego hałasu wentylatora.
ThinkPad L14 G4 Intel jest raptorem na dwa sposoby: Wykorzystuje Raptor Lake i jest dinozaurem pod względem formatu ekranu. Przestarzały charakter sprzętu ma negatywny wpływ na ten skądinąd solidny laptop biurowy.
Jeśli ThinkPad L14 G4 Intel jest dostępny z dużym rabatem, urządzenie to może być solidnym laptopem do pracy, szczególnie dla studentów.
