I took the new Redmi Note 14 Pro+ 5G for a spin to check this. The Redmi Note 14 Pro+ 5G is a stylish-looking phone with a distinct camera module, curved edges that make it comfortable to hold, and a large 6.67-inch AMOLED display. The 1.5K AMOLED display is sharp and bright, good enough to be used in all light conditions.

On the other hand, the hardware feels a generation behind the competition, and it shows in its performance. The cameras are decent but lack 60fps video recording at 4K. And while the battery is certainly larger, it has come at the cost of reduced charging speeds. Considering the increased prices and a software experience that is still riddled with bloatware and ads, things look a bit tough for the Redmi Note 14 Pro+ in the current landscape. If battery life, a dedicated telephoto camera, and HyperOS are your priority then the Redmi Note 14 Pro+ makes sense. Otherwise, there are plenty of more well-rounded options on the market.
