Asus Zenbook S 13 OLED to laptop, który ma wiele zalet. Jest niewielki, dobrze wykonany (ładny i do tego posiada standardy militarne), o mocnym wnętrzu i świetnym ekranie. Owszem posiada kilka wad, które wynikają głównie z konstrukcji i tego, że udało się tak wiele umieścić w tak niewielkim urządzeniu. Głośny wiatraczek, spadek mocy przy bardziej wymagających zadaniach czy niski skok klawiatury, to największe minusy. Zalet jest znacznie więcej i jak popatrzymy jeszcze przez pryzmat ceny – niewiele ponad 6 tys. zł za wersje z i7, to w rezultacie mamy przed sobą całkiem ciekawą propozycję. Zatem jeżeli szukasz czegoś małego z rewelacyjnym ekranem, dobrym wnętrzem i całkiem dobrym czasem pracy na jednym ładowaniu, to śmiało możesz spojrzeć w kierunku tego modelu.

ASUS Zenbook OLED 2023 to świetny ultrabook. Jest cieniutki i lekki, a mimo to dysponuje nie tylko portami USB-C z Thunderbolt 4 i mini Jack, ale także USB-A i HDMI 2.1. Jego ekran OLED oferuje zaś idealnie głębokie czernie i bardzo dobre odwzorowanie barw. Nie można zapominać też o wysokiej wydajności i długim czasie pracy na baterii tego laptopa, a także o tym, że użytkowanie jego klawiatury i touchpada jest bardzo wygodne. Gdyby nie fakt, że wentylatory urządzenia nieprzyjemnie hałasują, jego ekran odświeża się z częstotlwiością tylko 60 Hz, a preinstalowane aplikacje pozostawiają wiele do życzenia, ASUS Zenbook S 13 OLED 2023 byłby ultrabookiem idealnym.

Zenbook S 13 OLED 2023 ma to szczęście, że nie testowałam jego bezpośredniego poprzednika. Dlaczego szczęście? Ano dlatego, że usunięto z niego kilka rozwiązań, których w nowej generacji po prostu może brakować. Mam tu na myśli zarówno NumberPad na touchpadzie, jak i czytnik linii papilarnych. Za to zdecydowanie na plus zastąpienie jednego USB C wyjściem HDMI, a na minus skok klawisza, który został skrócony z 1,4 do 1,1 mm, przez co nie mogę przyzwyczaić się do pisania na tej klawiaturze na tyle szybko i pewnie, by nie popełniać ciągle błędów i nie robić tony literówek. Zmianie uległ też procesor – z AMD (Ryzen 7 6800U w najwyższej konfiguracji) na Intel Core i7-1355U. No dobrze, ale w takim razie jaki właściwie jest testowany dziś UX5304? Gdybym miała go podsumować jednym słowem: fajny. Przy czym nie bez wad, jak praktycznie każdy sprzęt dostępny na rynku. Zacznę od minusów.

Wewnątrz obudowy komputera pracują wydajne podzespoły, na czele z procesorem Intel Core i7 13. generacji, 16 GB RAM-u i bardzo szybkim dyskiem SSD. Z tego ostatniego można sekwencyjnie odczytywać dane z szybkością bliską 7 GB/s. Słabym ogniwem jest tu karta graficzna, więc nie jest to sprzęt do grania. Ultrabook firmy Asus pracuje pod kontrolą systemu Windows 11 w wersji Home. Na pokładzie znajdziemy kilka dodatkowych, przydatnych aplikacji doinstalowanych fabrycznie przez producenta. Jedna z nich, McAfee LveSafe, była dla mnie źródłem irytacji z powodu wyskakującej od czasu do czasu reklamy zachęcającej do zakupu pełnej wersji programu. Nie lubię bloatware’u z agresywnymi reklamami. Asus Zenbook S 13 OLED w testowanej wersji kosztuje w Polsce 7499 zł. Za dodatkowe 500 zł dostaniemy wariant z 32 GB RAM-u. Cena jest dosyć wysoka, ale uważam, że ten sprzęt jest jej wart.

Apple made a remarkably good case with the new Macbook Air release, but if you’re looking for a workhorse in the Windows environment; this would have to be in the running in some strong competition. Small laptops aren’t for everyone, but if you’re on the move a lot, the small and lightweight form factor is very welcome. Asus has added to this form factor, a slick look and comfortable to use feel; despite its small form factor. It’s so easy to carry, and for someone who spends a lot of time working from a laptop, I just didn’t feel like there was any compromise in moving to the Zenbook 13. The sale price of $2,099.00 (at the time of publishing the review, RRP AU$2,399.00) is a pretty reasonable cost for a device as capable as the Zenbook 13. Unless you’re shopping on a pretty tight budget, the extra money to get this over a $1,200.00 – $1,600.00 laptop will get you great portability and longevity from your purchase.

There's a lot to like about the Asus Zenbook S 13 OLED at its $1,399 asking price. The sharp webcam, beautiful display and great port array (for a 13-incher) make this a solid laptop for getting work done on the go, especially when you factor in the eye-catching design and incredibly light weight. In my eyes it dethrones the current Dell XPS 13 as my top recommendation for Windows fans seeking a MacBook Air competitor. However, you sacrifice a lot to get a laptop as thin and light as the Zenbook S 13 OLED at this price. I'm surprised at how poorly it scored in our display and performance tests, and there are many better options if you don't mind a thicker, heavier laptop. The OLED-equipped Dell XPS 13 Plus is more expensive and offers worse battery life but better performance, for example, whereas the Framework Laptop lacks an OLED option or a sleek design but is a more capable, longer-lasting productivity machine.

If pure portability is the goal, the Asus Zenbook S13 is one of the most successful ultrabooks we’ve tested. Few are as compact and lightweight as this one. And most are either expensive, limited in performance – or both at the same time. The Zenbook S13 is not a cheap computer, but the price should be manageable for most people. And the machine is characterised by an almost complete lack of compromise. The screen is high-resolution and colourful in a way that only OLED screens can do. Here comes the painful part – ASUS is asking RM5,999 for the Core i7 spec of the new Zenbook S 13 OLED, and it would probably have been fine… if not for the existence of the predecessor which sells for the same price, while offering vastly superior performance thanks to the powerful Ryzen chip. You do get slightly better battery life in the new model, so ultimately it depends on your priority – performance or battery life? The new change of direction for the Zenbook S 13 OLED could be a risky one, given that we’ve already listed quite a few feature regressions across the board. Let’s hope the Zenbook S “franchise reboot” would be for the better.

We were impressed with the Asus Zenbook S 13’s featherlight form, comfortable keyboard, long battery life, and vibrant OLED display. While its performance was certainly sluggish—especially at this laptop’s price point—it wouldn’t be absurd to spend a little extra on something you’ll find easier to use or more aesthetically pleasing than cheaper options. But you won’t want to try performing intense tasks like editing 8K videos on this laptop. If your job or hobby requires something with a little more processing power, check out Lenovo’s Slim Pro 7 14, which can handle heavier workloads (including gaming!) while saving you $200. You could also splurge on the ultra-light MSI Prestige 13 Evo, which costs $100 more but delivers performance that won’t leave you hanging (or sting your lap). Form factor is a legitimate selling point, though.

So, how thin is too thin? I think the Asus Zenbook S 13 OLED is pressing up against that boundary. Not to say it's a bad laptop — it’s actually rather great. But the super slim chassis does mean Asus shoots itself in the foot from time to time. Whether it’s the tendency to overheat and throttle power slightly, or the battery life not being able to hang with its slighly less ultraportable brethren, the S 13 makes some compromises for the sake of its mightily impressive size and weight. But I can’t deny that I really enjoyed using this tiny system around the home, and out and about. This is a seriously sleek machine with enough performance for your day-to-day, and a drop dead gorgeous OLED display.

The Asus Zenbook S 13 OLED (2023) isn’t the best laptop of 2023, marking a step backwards from the stunning 2022 model. The move to Intel’s U-series chips and a desire for even greater lightweight dimensions has seen Asus come a cropper. A high starting price of £1499/$1399.99, with only the Core i7 model available in the UK, also starts it off on unsteady ground. It’s not a huge fall from grace though, with the fan noise being the largest irritant, but it can be dodged with Asus’ Whisper Mode. The productivity capabilities are up to snuff and it’s remarkably portable, while the lush OLED display is a phenomenal coup for this laptop. But, just don’t expect much in the way of gaming or creative capabilities. If you want the best Windows laptop for stylish lightweight design, this is still right up there, and the battery life remains strong too.

Comparing the two devices you get a substantial performance downgrade with the S 13, less screen size, smaller OLED screen and 1 less TB of storage. The upside of the Zenbook S 13 is that it is far, far lighter and costs R2 000 less. If you want a powerful machine for your everyday needs, especially for around the R30 000 mark, we suggest you steer clear of the Zenbook S 13.

With its sleek design, top-notch build quality and OLED display, and impressive specifications for this class of laptops, it’s not difficult to give it my thumbs up. Certainly, there are some minor nit pickings from me: such as the small left “Ctrl” key, which really should have been bigger than the “Function” key next to it – causing me to miss the key on occasions when I need it – and the lack of a physical privacy cover for its web cam. But these are more about my personal preferences, and for all intents and purposes, the Zenbook S 13 OLED is a wonderful laptop that’s also a worthy competitor – both in performance and design – to the MacBook Air.

2023 has been a great year for PC laptops, even if people aren’t buying them as ravenously as during previous years. If you’ve been holding off a purchase waiting for improved chips, nicer screens, and great battery life before you upgrade, then Asus has put all of these things into a device that has few compromises—the Zenbook S 13 OLED even has a, useful selection of ports. If power isn’t your priority, this laptop could cover all the bases for typical kinds of work, and its vivid OLED screen is simply gorgeous for watching your favorite movies or streaming shows. Even the negatives here are pretty negligible…if I all I can complain about are the trackpad being a clicky button instead of a motor (that’s a first world problem for sure!), a slight whine from the fans, and some bloatware that you can easily and quickly uninstall, then that says a lot.

Asus Zenbook S 13 OLED is one of the best-looking laptops you will find in any price segment right now. In fact, when my mother saw the laptop - who is not very interested in laptops - she also noticed the unique and sleek design. Besides that, what adds to the overall value is the form factor, the weight and the performance. The Zenbook S 13 OLED is one of the lightest laptops I have tested in a while, which makes it extremely easy to carry from one place to another. The form factor is also apt for a working professional and, thanks to that, it fits perfectly in my handbag without adding much to the weight. In addition to the design and overall form factor, the Asus Zenbook S 13 OLED also gets the performance just about right, but the audio performance could have been better.

Well, well, well. What in the world of thin and light laptops was that?! It has a ton of performance, good speakers, a brilliant display, and it actually acts as a proper notebook. Yes, ASUS engineers have clearly done their homework. And while the performance is pretty sick, and quite frankly – puzzling, one of the more intriguing features is how they managed to cram a 63Wh battery pack inside this constrained space. Not only they did do that, but you get more than 15 hours of Web browsing, or 11 hours and 30 minutes of video playback from a single charge. All of that comes in a chassis that is made out of a magnesium-aluminum alloy, weighs 1 kilo, and has a profile of 10-11mm. By the way, there are so many ASUS notebooks that feature an OLED panel that we often take the technology for granted.

We noted plenty to love about the 2023 Asus Zenbook S 13 OLED. From its impeccable OLED display to its nearly 16 hours of battery life, this ultra-slim ultraportable is impressive in some respects. Unfortunately, despite housing a new 13th Gen processor, performance isn't one of those leading areas, with the Zenbook keeping pace among competitors but not leading. (This could be down to this particular implementation, but it's nevertheless disappointing.) Even so, if you want a capable laptop that can go all day and looks fantastic doing so, the Asus Zenbook S 13 OLED will do the trick with its eye-catching screen and cool coated lid. You can find a better overall experience in other models, like the Editors' Choice-award-holding HP Pavilion Plus 14, but you won't feel let down by this delightfully svelte OLED ultraportable.

But with the Zenbook S 13 OLED — I’ve honestly been given new hope for what the future of premium laptops can bring to the table. Right now, you can get an ASUS Zenbook S 13 OLED (UX5304) in one of two skews: one with an Intel Core i5-1335U, 16GB LPDDR5 RAM, and a 512GB PCIe SSD for Php 79,995.00; and one with an Intel Core i7-1355U, 16GB LPDDR5 RAM, and a 512GB PCIe SSD for Php 87,995. Yes, that Php 80-88,000 SRP is a hefty price to pay and sets a pretty high bar of what this Zenbook is expected to deliver in real-world use. Thankfully, with the Zenbook S 13 OLED, you’re getting a well-rounded, ultra-thin laptop that has a beautiful screen, great performance, solid build, really good battery life, and an environmentally-conscious approach that you can’t find anywhere else.

That doesn’t mean the Air doesn’t have plenty of other advantages over the Zenbook. It is, on the whole, a more premium device (and its higher price reflects that). But I am so, so pleased to see all-day battery life from an Intel machine that I’m finding it hard to care too much about the Zenbook’s other flaws. At the end of the day, this device is a good package, and the combination of performance, screen, port selection, specs, and battery life that it offers beat what you’ll find in some more expensive products. There are areas for improvement, particularly with the speakers and trackpad, but not many egregious compromises. If you’re asking me for a Windows-running MacBook Air alternative, the Zenbook S 13 OLED is very much it.

You get a 13th Gen Intel Core i7-1355U processor with a 20W TDP, 16GB LPDDR5 5,200MHz RAM that has been soldered in, a 1TB SSD and Iris Xe graphics. Can tech and style mix? As a true blue tech nerd and a fashionista, I definitely think so. When shopping for a new laptop, I recommend ASUS's Zenbook S line. S officially stands for "slim", but in my mind it can also mean stylish. For the new S13 OLED, sustainable comes to mind as well. For its cover ASUS made a new material called Plasma Ceramic Aluminum that's free of harmful dyes and is 100% recyclable. The rest of its body and its packaging are made of recycled materials.

Reviewing Asus' Zenbook S13 OLED 2023, an ultraportable laptop boasting 13th Gen Intel power and ridiculously good features. Vs the Macbook Air M2, the Asus Zenbook S 13 OLED is a seriously strong rival for creators, with enough power for light gaming on the side. It's one of the best slim notebooks I've reviewed in 2023 or indeed ever! So what makes this laptop so compelling? Well, the thin and light design means you can carry the Zenbook S13 OLED anywhere you go, yet the connectivity is top notch. That 2.8k display is a stunner and the MyAsus app allows you to tweak the gamut, to suit creative tasks, movie playback, whatever. Power is provided by the Intel 13th Gen Core i7 1355U, serving up strong enough performance for photo editing, gaming on reasonably demanding titles and working in Chrome with dozens of tabs open. The Asus Zenbook S 13 OLED 2023 can also last almost six hours with mixed use - not bad at all considering the size of this laptop. Usability gets a thumbs up despite an issue with that touchpad.

If we weren’t going through one of the most significant transitions in the Windows laptop era ever, the Zenbook S 13 OLED would be a very compelling laptop. It’s a bit too expensive even by those previous standards, given its lesser performance and just decent battery life. But it’s also going to have a bunch of new competition reasonably soon. Microsoft’s Copilot+ PC initiative will start with laptops running Qualcomm’s hyper-efficient chipsets and will end up with much faster (for on-device AI) and more efficient chipsets from Intel and AMD. The Zenbook S 14, for example, has already been announced, which is a full redesign that supports Intel’s next-gen chips — and looks gorgeous. The Zenbook S 13 OLED is a good laptop today and will remain competitive for a few months given potential compatibility issues with Windows on ARM. But anyone who can wait a while to buy a laptop likely should do so.

The ASUS Zenbook S 13 OLED’s price tag of Rs 1,31,990 weighs down this lightweight machine I think. There’s enough competition to contend with too, though that 1kg weight could be hard to beat. Otherwise, you could get hold of devices that offer more versatility, such as the HP Envy 14 x360 (review), which is similarly configured, and while it can’t match the Zenbook S 13 OLED’s battery life, it does offer a 120Hz OLED display which is touch enabled and comes with a stylus too. The Lenovo Yoga Slim 7i 2024 (review) can offer better performance, but at the cost of battery life. All in all, the ASUS Zenbook S 13 OLED has a lot going for it. I just wish it had a touchscreen.

With the Zenbook S13 OLED, Asus is offering an ultrabook that is also functionally rewarding. The build quality is top-notch, the keyboard is amazing, and there is a welcome diversity of I/O ports. It also serves a beautiful OLED screen that is married to perks like 65W fast charging, both of which put the latest MacBook Air to shame. But this machine is not all about slim looks and barely-there heft. The Intel Core Ultra 7 processor holds its own against Apple's venerable M-series processors even at AI workflows. If you are in the market shopping for a slim and light machine, the performance of this Asus laptop won't leave you wanting for more. But there are a few pitfalls to keep in mind, all of which are unfortunately inevitable for Windows-based ultrabooks. When pushed, this sleek laptop runs hot and throttling becomes evident if you're trying to be frugal on the battery. But having tested a healthy bunch of laptops in this segment, I feel the Zenbook S13 OLED (2024) hit the limits of PC engineering finesse.

Karty z tej kategorii są w stanie pociągnąć płynnie najnowsze gry, ale

nie ze wszystkimi opcjami i nie w wysokiej rozdzielczości. Szczególnie

wymagające gry chodzą tylko na minimalnych ustawieniach, w wyniku

czego często mocno cierpi jakość grafiki. Układy z tej klasy powinny

zainteresować osoby rzadko grające w gry.

Intel Iris Xe G7 96EUs:

Intel Graphics 4-Core: Zintegrowana karta graficzna oparta na architekturze Xe LPG (podobnej do dedykowanych procesorów graficznych Arc, ale z naciskiem na wydajność). Zapewnia 4 rdzenie Xe (64 silniki wektorowe Xe) i 4 jednostki ray tracingu.
