GTX 1080, GTX 1070, GTX 1060 - porównanie wydajności kart grafiki Nvidia Pascal do laptopów

W związku z premierą układów Nvidia Pascal do laptopów wiele osób jest zainteresowanych tym, jak przedstawia się wydajność kart grafiki GTX 1080, GTX 1070 i GTX 1060 w porównaniu do starszych rozwiązań opartych na architekturze Maxwell. Notebookcheck przeprowadził testy kilku laptopów wyposażonych w nowe karty. Na tej podstawie powstał niniejszy artykuł prezentujący porównanie wydajności nowych i starszych GPU.

Pierwsze testy pozwalają stwierdzić, że Nvidii udało się zrobić duży krok naprzód w dziedzinie wydajności. W zasadzie jest to wręcz największy skok wydajności GPU w laptopach w ostatnich latach. Nie mieliśmy bowiem wcześniej sytuacji, by tak niewiele różniło (pod względem osiągów) karty grafiki do komputerów stacjonarnych i te do komputerów przenośnych.

Skoro już to wiemy, jasne staje się to, dlaczego Nvidia zrezygnowała ze stosowania różnych oznaczeń dla kart grafiki do komputerów stacjonarnych i przenośnych (modele do laptopów nie mają już litery "M" na końcu oznaczenia), przynajmniej w przypadku modeli z wyższej półki wydajnościowej.

Do porównań wybrano najlepsze wyniki osiągnięte przez laptop z daną kartą grafiki z naszej bazy danych (dotyczy to modeli z kartami Maxwell). Przy dokonywaniu analizy różnic trzeba wziąć pod uwagę to, że kolejne sterowniki Nvidii mogą jeszcze poprawić wydajność kart opartych na architekturze Pascal (w przyszłości różnice między nimi a kartami starszej generacji mogą być więc nawet większe).

W teście 3DMark 11 (GPU Score, Performance) laptop z układem GeForce GTX 1080 SLI (czyli z dwiema kartami GTX 1080) uzyskał wynik aż o 70% lepszy od osiągnięcia modelu z układem GeForce GTX 980 SLI (czyli z dwiema kartami GTX 980). Notebook z jedną kartą GTX 1080 okazał się zaś o 63% lepszy od laptopa z kartą GTX 980 oraz tylko o 3% gorszy od komputera stacjonarnego z kartą GTX 1080. Laptop z kartą GTX 1070 uzyskał rezultat o 7% gorszy od komputera stacjonarnego z kartą GTX 1070. W porównaniu z laptopem z kartą GTX 980M jego przewaga wyniosła 73% a w porównaniu z modelem z kartą GTX 980 do laptopów (do tej pory najwydajniejszą w komputerach przenośnych) - 37%. Karta GTX 1060 do laptopów przewyższyła zaś kartę GTX 980M o 16% a kartę GTX 970M - o 54%. W porównaniu z kartą GTX 1060 do komputerów stacjonarnych jej rezultat był o 14% gorszy.

W teście 3DMark Fire Strike Ultra (Graphics Score) przeprowadzanym w rozdzielczości 3840 x 2160 pikseli (4K) hierarchia porównywanych rozwiązań graficznych była podobna. Przewaga układu GTX 1080 SLI nad układem GTX 980 SLI okazała się jednak jeszcze większa (89%) a GTX 1080 z laptopa uzyskał wynik o 3% lepszy od GTX-a 1080 z komputera stacjonarnego. GTX 1060 z laptopa uzyskał wynik o 13% lepszy od karty GTX 980M.

Wybrane nowe gry zostały przetestowane na naszych ustawieniach ultra (1920 x 1080, nastawa ultra) i 4K (3840 x 2160, nastawa high). W grach Mirror's Edge, Far Cry Primal i The Division w rozdzielczości 4K przewaga dwóch kart GTX 1080 nad jedną kartą GTX 1080 wynosiła 41-53%, natomiast w grach Overwatch i Star Wars Battlefront było to aż 99-107%. Różnice między kartami GTX 1080 w laptopie i komputerze stacjonarnym były znikome lub w ogóle nie było między nimi różnicy. GTX 1070 z laptopa był o około 20-25% gorszy od GTX-a 1080 z laptopa. GTX 980 z laptopa natomiast był o 30-35% słabszy od GTX-a 1080 z laptopa. Przewaga karty GTX 1070 z laptopa nad kartą GTX 980M wynosiła w rozdzielczości 4K 66-80%.

Wyników karty GTX 1060 w laptopie jeszcze nie mamy, ale wkrótce się one pojawią.

Podsumowanie

Karty grafiki Nvidia Pascal do laptopów pozwalają zerwać z przekonaniem, że do grania na najwyższym poziomie najlepiej nadaje się komputer stacjonarny. GPU o takich samych oznaczeniach, jak te do blaszaków, oferują osiągi zbliżone do swoich odpowiedników. GeForce GTX 1080 SLI definiuje nam maksymalny poziom aktualnych możliwości. Rozwiązanie to pozwala na płynną rozgrywkę w najnowszych grach w rozdzielczości 4K (3840 x 2160 pikseli). Jeżeli chodzi o porównanie z kartami starszej generacji (Maxwell), czyli GTX 970M, GTX 980M i GTX 980, skok wydajnościowy jest bardzo duży. Dość powiedzieć, że GTX 1060 jest o kilkanaście procent wydajniejszy od GTX-a 980M (!).
