We put the Vivo X90 Pro+ through our rigorous DXOMARK Selfie test suite to measure its performance in photo and video from an end-user perspective. This article breaks down how the device fared in a variety of tests and several common use cases and is intended to highlight the most important results of our testing with an extract of the captured data. With a DXOMARK Selfie score of 125, the Vivo X90 Pro+ delivered a decent performance in our front camera tests but could not keep up with the very best devices in the Ultra-Premium segment. Overall, the camera provided pleasant image and video rendering, with good exposure, pleasant colors and nice skin tones, across a large array of shooting conditions. However, the top Selfie devices in its class are capable of producing better contrast in still images and a wider dynamic range in video mode.

The Vivo X90 Pro+ provided an overall average display performance for a flagship. The highlight of the smartphone’s screen was its color performance, where it achieved a top score for its consistently good and faithful color rendering in indoor and low-light conditions. The Vivo X90 Pro+’s screen colors maintained uniformity and color fidelity for the most part. In outdoor testing under direct sunlight, the device did not reach the 1800 nits of maximum brightness advertised. But when challenged to an extremely bright environment of more than 100K lux, the device’s screen attained 1500 nits. The X90 Pro+’s display performance stumbled when watching HDR10 videos because of low brightness levels and low contrast, which erased details from the content’s dark tones. In terms of brightness and contrast management in HDR videos, the Vivo X90 Pro actually outperformed the X90 Pro+. While high brightness mode generally improved the screen’s readability, it would degrade picture rendering when viewed under sunlight.

The display can convince with the desired resolution, the storage is sufficient, there is a good battery capacity and the charging process is also pleasing. The storage capacity along with the fast Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 delivers plenty of performance. Now ask yourself, if you're like me and the first thing you read is the conclusion, what's the catch? It's not the price, since even the 512 GB flagship is sold for just around $1,000. I'll tell you: The Vivo X90 Pro+ is only available in China and the processor gets pretty hot under full load. The China thing is actually not a problem either, TradingShenzhen supplies the device and the German and all other system languages are on board. But there are endless Chinese applications. But there are just as many cool features to discover with Origin OS 3.0. It definitely never gets boring with this smartphone and on top of that, you get one of the best cameras on top. If you can and want to make this compromise, you will probably have a lot of fun with the Vivo X90 Pro+.

The Vivo X90 Pro+ represents a significant evolution over last year’s Vivo X80 Pro as it is both the first smartphone we tested to come with Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, and the first Vivo to use a 1-inch sensor in the main camera module. Like previous Vivo flagships, it also features Zeiss T* optical coating on the lenses. With such impressive camera hardware, it’s no surprise the Vivo X90 Pro+ offered quite detailed still images in our testing across all light conditions. The large 1-inch sensor’s ability to collect light was also noticeable in terms of image noise, which was well under control, especially in bright light and indoors. The X90 Pro+ photos also showed good exposure management as well as a fairly accurate white balance in most situations. We noticed some drawbacks when it came to color, though, with inaccurate rendering of dark skin tones in backlit scenes, as well as some color quantization under indoor lighting and lower illumination levels. In addition to the primary camera, the Vivo X90 Pro+ features an ultra-wide-angle module with a 14mm equivalent focal length, as well as two telephoto lenses equivalent to 50mm and 90mm. Overall, the camera setup offers a x100 zoom factor (including digital zoom). Thanks to the combination of these multiple modules, zoom quality was one of the Vivo’s strong points in our testing. Telefon ten trafił w moje ręce jeszcze przed tegorocznymi targami MWC, czyli już w lutym. Recenzując ten telefon, natknąłem się na pewien dylemat, ponieważ z jednej strony jest to świetne urządzenie pod wieloma względami, ale z drugiej strony, nie wszystko mnie w pełni usatysfakcjonowało, a producent wprowadził pewne kontrowersyjne zmiany. Należy jednak przyznać, że przy zachowaniu ceny zeszłorocznego modelu X80, dano nam tutaj imponującą jednocalową matrycę fotograficzną.

Tytuł mówi wszystko – uważam, że vivo X90 Pro jest niesłusznie niedocenianym smartfonem. Jest to z całą pewnością pełnoprawny flagowiec, charakteryzujący się świetną kulturą pracy, aparatem pozwalającym robić naprawdę plastyczne zdjęcia, bardzo dobrymi głośnikami stereo i eleganckim wzornictwem. Względem poprzednika widać regres w postaci zastosowania procesora MediaTeka zamiast Qualcomma, przy czym nie wpływa to na ogólne działanie telefonu na co dzień – tu nie ma na co narzekać. Narzekać można natomiast – i jest to uzasadnione – na czas pracy, zwłaszcza na danych mobilych, bo jest kiepski, w dodatku gorszy od X80 Pro. Szkoda też, że eleganckie etui zastąpiono plastikowym. Zmieniła się również rozdzielczość ekranu – z 3200×1440 na 2800 x 1260 pikseli.

No i jak ugryźć ocenę vivo X90 Pro? Z jednej strony mamy przecież do czynienia ze świetnym smartfonem, który na dodatek utrzymał cenę swojego poprzednika, a z drugiej musieliśmy za to zapłacić wyraźnym downgradem w wielu aspektach. W takiej sytuacji często biję się w pierś za narzekanie na producentów, którzy z generacji na generację wprowadzają tylko drobne zmiany, co niezmiennie frustruje użytkowników, ale okazuje się mieć też niewątpliwe zalet. Zazwyczaj wiemy wtedy, czego możemy się spodziewać, tymczasem vivo przy X90 Pro namieszało w tak wielu elementach, że można się zastanawiać, czy to wciąż ta sama seria. Urządzenia z pewnością łączy jednak odważna biznesowa stylistyka - w tym roku z tylnym panelem z wegańskiej skóry - z potężną wyspą aparatów, która dla niektórych użytkowników będzie nie do przeskoczenia, ale z pewnością charakteryzuje się wysoką jakością, starannością wykonania i przywiązaniem do szczegółów. Wciąż możemy liczyć też na świetny AMOLED, choć jasność szczytowa, rozdzielczość i możliwości w zakresie częstotliwości odświeżania zanotowały spadek, a do tego musieliśmy pożegnać się z fenomenalnym ultrasonicznym czytnikiem linii papilarnych, który jest dużą stratą. Podobnie jak wymiana Snapdragona na Dimensity, a przynajmniej dla części użytkowników, bo chociaż nowe rozwiązanie w codziennym użytkowaniu sprawuje się wyśmienicie i pokazuje moc w benchmarkach, to jest zdecydowanie mniej prestiżowe. A mówimy przecież o smartfonie za 5999 PLN, czyli w cenie nieodbiegającej od bardziej uznanych i popularniejszych konkurentów. vivo X90 Pro nadrabia jednak topowymi możliwościami fotograficznymi, obok których trudno przejść obojętnie, szczególnie jeśli to właśnie ten element smartfona interesuje nas najbardziej.

Najnowszy sztandarowy model vivo jest bardzo ciekawie zaprojektowany. Obudowa vivo X90 Pro przypomina skórę, ale żadne zwierzę nie oddało za nią życia. Materiał powstał z włókien roślinnych. Podczas używania vivo X90 Pro nie zauważyłam, by pojawiły się na nim rysy i – co ważniejsze – świetnie się go trzyma. Ramka została wykonana z aluminium, a ekran chroni szkło Schott Xensation Up i fabrycznie naklejona folia. Nie ma co ukrywać, vivo X90 Pro to imponujący smartfon pod niemal każdym względem – ma niesamowity design, fantastyczną wydajność zagwarantowaną przez układ MediaTek, solidny akumulator z bardzo szybkim odzyskiwaniem energii i to nie tylko przewodowo, a wisienką na torcie jest oczywiście jeden z najbardziej imponujących aparatów, jakie kiedykolwiek testowałem. Naprawdę, jedyne, co mi się nie podoba, to ilość oprogramowania typu bloatware, które jest dostarczane w pakiecie z Funtouch OS. Większość z tego można usunąć lub ukryć w szufladzie aplikacji i w większości o nich zapomnieć, ale byłoby miło nie musieć tego robić. Życzyłby sobie także, aby w kolejnej generacji bardziej skupiono się na możliwościach wideo i rozwijano w dalszym ciągu tryb ZEISS, który choć jest dodatkiem, z którego korzystamy sporadycznie, to jednak niestandardowe filmy wyglądają świetnie. Do tego chciałbym zobaczyć nareszcie przejścia pomiędzy obiektywami gładkie, jak masło, choć i tak widzę postęp w odniesieniu do vivo X80 Pro. A cena? Ta jest na świetnym poziomie, zważywszy na fakt, że zatrzymała się na poziomie 5999 złotych. Tyle samo w dniu premiery kosztował vivo X80 Pro. Warto jeszcze na koniec dodać, że w ramach pierwszych dni sprzedaży do smartfona dodawane będą gratisy w postaci bezprzewodowej ładowarki vivo o mocy 50 W i słuchawki bezprzewodowe marki vivo. Obecnie to najlepszy fotograficzny smartfon na rynku, a zatem zdecydowanie warto rozważyć jego zakup.

vivo X90 Pro - jednocalowa matryca i Mediatek Dimensity 9200 - sprawdziliśmy go

Vivo udała się trudna obecnie sztuka zachowania ceny sprzed roku. Dodatkowo producent zamontował w nim największą stosowaną w smartfonach matrycę. Niestety nie obyło się bez pewnych kompromisów w porównaniu do ubiegłorocznego flagowca. Czytnik linii papilarnych jest mniejszy i optyczny, rozdzielczość i jasność ekranu niższa, nie ma też teleobiektywu x5. Algorytmy vivo już wcześniej uczyniły z niego króla nocnej fotografii, a nowy model obronił ten tytuł. Moim zdaniem vivo jest w stanie konkurować z każdym konkurentem pod względem jakości zdjęć z głównego aparatu i albo mu dorówna albo wygra. I chociaż trochę szkoda mi tych wymienionych wyżej kompromisów to ostatecznie jednak wybrałbym calową matrycę w nowszym modelu X90 Pro. Vivo gra odważnie i atakuje w segmencie premium najlepszych z najlepszych. Z tego powodu ma u mnie duże uznanie.

Vivo X90 Pro is focused on the camera, like other X-series phones launched in past years. Barring the drawbacks, the Vivo X90 Pro is an excellent flagship smartphone with an emphasis on camera performance. This phone has the fastest shutter speed (in sports mode) that I have ever used on a phone. On top of that, it also offers plenty of modes to play around with, allowing users to capture a photo in their style. While I prefer Vivo’s colour science, the Zeiss natural colour 2.0 mode does offer true-to-life-looking pictures, which can be further edited as per the requirement. On top of that, it also has a handheld astro mode and night sports mode, which allows users to capture stable pictures of moving subjects even in low-light situations. To summarize, the Vivo X90 Pro has both hardware and software and even the Zeiss T* lens coating, making it the perfect phone for shutterbugs. If you are looking for a camera-first flagship smartphone in 2023, the Vivo X90 Pro is an easy pick.

Vivo's X series has a reputation of offering a unique photography experience and the new X90 Pro is no different. The rear primary and portrait camera sensors deliver excellent performance. Photos taken by the main camera at times felt like they were captured using a dedicated camera. System performance, display quality and battery life with quick charging are very good as well. The phone has a premium design and comes with an IP68 rating. However, there are a few misses along the way in the Vivo X90 Pro which do stack up, especially when you factor in the price. The ultra-wide camera is not very impressive and we feel that the X80 Pro did a much better job. We weren't too happy with the processed images from the selfie camera either when using Portrait mode. Other misses would be the lack of a periscope camera, a lower-resolution and non-LTPO display, and an optical fingerprint sensor instead of ultrasonic — all of which are present on the Vivo X80 Pro, which is still available and is a bit cheaper. The competition has also caught up. The Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra (Review) has set a benchmark when it comes to providing a versatile camera experience, but it's also quite a bit more expensive. The Xiaomi 13 Pro (Review) is probably the closest competitor to the X90 Pro right now and apart from not having an official IP rating in India, it easily matches (and exceeds in some areas) the performance of the X90 Pro while costing a bit less. There is also the Google Pixel 7 Pro (Review) which offers an excellent camera system and a unique software experience.

Overall, I had a great experience with the Vivo X90 Pro, particularly while testing out its camera in majestic Vietnam. It is a great tool for people looking to improve their photography skills as it will compel you to explore your interest in photography if you haven't already.

The Vivo X90 Pro provided an overall average display performance, boosted mostly by its high marks in color. Although color performance did not match the Vivo’s X90 Pro+ version, it was the device’s strongest attribute, with consistently good and faithful color rendering in indoor and low-light conditions. The Vivo X90 Pro’s screen colors maintained uniformity and color fidelity for the most part. In outdoor testing under direct sunlight, the device did not reach the 1300 nits of maximum brightness advertised. But when challenged to an extremely bright environment of more than 100K lux, the device’s screen attained 1000 nits. The X90 Pro provided a much better HDR10 video-watching experience than the X90 Pro+ version by displaying a good level of details when viewed in indoor lighting conditions. However, video performance did not reach the level of its predecessor, the X80 Pro. The display’s performance when playing video games was hampered by aliasing and visible frame drops.

You should buy the Vivo X90 Pro if you value a great camera over everything else (and if you don't live in the US, to avoid importing it). The Sony IMX989, Vivo, and Zeiss's post-processing do wonders, creating images with natural bokeh that almost appear to be taken with DSLR cameras. Of course, there are still physical constraints that are hard to overcome, but the images get as close as they can on any smartphone right now. Unfortunately, the Vivo X90 Pro makes many of the same mistakes as its predecessors and other Oppo sub-brand products. The aggressive software kills background tasks way too fast unless you grant exemptions on a per-app basis, making me question why 12GB of RAM is even necessary in this phone. This doesn't even translate into a phenomenal battery life, which I found somewhat great. That said, the 120W charging speed is something you get used to way too quickly, allowing me to fully charge it during breakfast every morning. If you want a nice-looking flagship with an incredible camera and charging at ludicrous speeds — and you're okay with all the software issues I described — the Vivo X90 Pro is a good choice.

The ZEISS branding is well-deserved, though the small bit of color inconsistency can throw off more seasoned mobile photographers. The vegan leather definitely helps secure the phone in your hand, but that thin metal band completely ruins the aesthetic for no real reason. There are also a few paper cuts, like a dated curved screen design and a display that doesn't reach the 2K or 1440p mark, none of them real deal-breakers for the majority of buyers. While the phone would normally be a good contender against the likes of Samsung and Apple, its availability and pricing could hurt its chances. It is available globally, unlike the even higher-end X90 Pro+, but only in a few select markets. The price is also a bit of a downer, close to $1,000 or a bit more, depending on the region. At that point, you could have better choices for photography, like a Google Pixel, or a cheaper option for powerful hardware, like some gaming phones. You'd be hard-pressed to find both in the same phone, though, especially in a finely-wrapped package, and that's where the Vivo X90 Pro really shines the brightest.

We were satisfied with the vivo X90 Pro battery life and impressed by its 120W fast charging. The stereo speakers turned out pretty good, too. But what was outstanding across the board was the rear camera photo and video quality. The partnership between Vivo and Zeiss has produced one of the best and most consistent image-processing outputs we've seen. All photos and videos we took with the rear cameras are simply stunning. There is no doubt that this alone is enough to rank the vivo X90 Pro among the best cameraphones in the world. The selfie is still behind the curve as it uses a Quad-Bayer sensor and doesn't even offer 4K video capturing at the time of writing. The zoom options are limited to 2x, which is another aspect that doesn't sit well in light of what the competition is doing. A cameraphone of this magnitude deserves better! All things considered, however, the vivo X90 Pro is an exemplary flagship smartphone that delivers on every promise and offers impressive imaging skills. It's not insanely expansive, too. And it sure gets our unreserved recommendation.

There’s no denying the Vivo X90 Pro’s main camera takes a stunning photo, with a natural depth of field that no portrait mode comes close to matching. It’s a very capable phone elsewhere, too, with great battery life, rapid charging and high-end performance. It does regress in a few places, though. The periscope zoom lens and gimbal stabilisation tech seen in its predecessor are absent here, and screen resolution has taken a hit. That 1-inch sensor goes a long way to making up for it, but means it’s not quite as versatile as premium rivals from Samsung or Google. According to Vivo the X90 Pro will make its way to Europe – we just don’t know exactly when. The same was said about the X80 Pro last year, and that proved very tricky to find in the UK, so we’re hoping things have improved for 2023. We only know Malaysian pricing, at 4,999 MYR (about £950), so it’s going to command a premium figure once it gets to Blighty. Still, if you prefer close-ups and bokeh blur to zoomed-in snaps, it’ll be well worth tracking one down.

That mean's you'll likely be able to pick up a photographic performer like the Pixel 7 Pro for significantly less money. But will its photos wow you as often as the photos from the X90 Pro? We're not so sure.

Vivo:

Karty z tej kategorii są w stanie pociągnąć płynnie najnowsze gry, ale

nie ze wszystkimi opcjami i nie w wysokiej rozdzielczości. Szczególnie

wymagające gry chodzą tylko na minimalnych ustawieniach, w wyniku

czego często mocno cierpi jakość grafiki. Układy z tej klasy powinny

zainteresować osoby rzadko grające w gry.

Qualcomm Adreno 740:

Układ graficzny dla smartfonów i tabletów, który jest zintegrowany w SoC Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. Qualcomm twierdzi, że jest on o 25% szybszy od Adreno 730 w Snapdragonie 8 Gen 1, a pierwsze benchmarki pokazują, że GPU może pokonać Apple A16 iGPU (wcześniej najszybsze GPU w smartfonach).

ARM Immortalis-G715MC11 to zintegrowana karta graficzna klasy high-end dla smartfonów z 11 z 16 możliwych rdzeni. Jest ona oparta na trzeciej generacji architektury Valhall firmy ARM i oferuje o 15% wyższą wydajność niż poprzednia generacja. G715 to pierwszy mobilny procesor graficzny ze sprzętową obsługą ray tracingu, a także obsługą cieniowania o zmiennej częstotliwości (VRS).

High-endowy SoC dla smartfonów, który został wprowadzony pod koniec 2022 roku z szybkim rdzeniem głównym opartym na architekturze ARM Cortex-X3 pracującym z częstotliwością do 3,2 GHz. Dimensity 9200: Dimensity 9200 to wysokiej klasy SoC ze zintegrowanym modemem 5G. Obejmuje on jeden szybki rdzeń Cortex-X3 o taktowaniu do 3,05 GHz, trzy kolejne rdzenie A715 o taktowaniu do 2,85 GHz oraz cztery energooszczędne rdzenie (Cortex-A510) o taktowaniu do 1,8 GHz.
