Vivobook S 15 OLED był jednym z pierwszych notebooków z nowym procesorem Snapdragon X Elite, a teraz Asus wprowadza także tańszą wersję z nowym 8-rdzeniowym Snapdragonem X Plus. Pozostałe specyfikacje, w tym 120 Hz OLED, są jednak identyczne. Różnica w cenie względem szybszego modelu X Elite jest jednak zbyt mała.

Przetestowaliśmy Vivobook S 15 OLED z procesorem Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite zaledwie kilka miesięcy temu. Był to dobry komputer do codziennego użytku ze świetnym ekranem OLED. Poza ograniczeniami architektury ARM i związanymi z tym problemami z kompatybilnością, szczególnie problematyczna okazała się cena, która wynosiła 1 269,99 USD, a więc tyle samo (lub nawet więcej) co porównywalne warianty z procesorami Intel/AMD.

Wraz z premierą nowych modeli Snapdragon X Plus z 8 rdzeniami CPU, Asus wprowadza na rynek odpowiadającą im konfigurację Vivobook S 15. Skok cenowy nie jest jednak tak duży jak oczekiwano, ponieważ RRP wynosi 1 149 euro (~1 270 USD). Poza procesorem, wyposażenie jest identyczne z ekranem OLED o wysokiej rozdzielczości 120 Hz, 16 GB pamięci RAM LPDDR5x-8448 i dyskiem SSD o pojemności 512 GB. Na jakie kompromisy trzeba jednak pójść z nowym układem Snapdragon i czy wydajność wciąż jest wystarczająca do większości codziennych zadań?

Wydajność - Snapdragon X Plus z 8 rdzeniami

Qualcomm wprowadził w sumie trzy nowe modele Snapdragon X Plus, a Vivobook S 15 jest wyposażony w najwolniejszy wariant. Jest to X1P-42-100 oferuje osiem rdzeni i jest połączony z 16 GB pamięci RAM LPDDR5x-8448, której nie można rozszerzyć. Jednostka NPU z 45 TOPS jest identyczna z innymi procesorami Snapdragon X.

 
 

Warunki testu

Asus oferuje różne profile energetyczne w preinstalowanej aplikacji MyAsus, które wymieniliśmy w poniższej tabeli. Specyfikacje TDP pochodzą od producenta, czysty udział CPU to wartości zaokrąglone, ponieważ nie można ich odczytać indywidualnie. Specyfikacja TDP dla obecnych procesorów Snapdragon X obejmuje również kontroler i pamięć oprócz procesora. Poniższe testy porównawcze i pomiary przeprowadziliśmy z domyślnym profilem Standard. Profil Wydajność zapewnia tylko lepszą wydajność wielordzeniową. Dostępny jest również tryb Full Speed, ale zwiększa on jedynie prędkość wentylatorów.

Procesor - X1P-42-100

Przetestowaliśmy już nowy X1P-42-100 w naszym Artykule analitycznym w szczegółach. Zasadniczo wykorzystywany jest tutaj tylko klaster wydajności (8 rdzeni) o maksymalnej częstotliwości taktowania 3,2 GHz, podczas gdy aktywny rdzeń może osiągnąć 3,4 GHz. Klaster wydajności droższych SoC Snapdragon nie jest tutaj zainstalowany.

Ze względu na identyczną częstotliwość taktowania, wydajność jednordzeniowa w testach porównawczych nie jest zaskakująco porównywalna z Snapdragon X Elite (X1E-78-100) w Vivobook S 15 i jest również bardzo przyzwoita. To również stawia najmniejszego Snapdragona przed układami AMD Zen4 i procesorami Intel Meteor Lake. Obecny procesor AMD Zen 5 jest jednak nieco szybszy. W natywnych testach wielordzeniowych mały Snapdragon X Plus jest wyraźnie lepszy od urządzeń porównawczych z Snapdragon X Elite lub Intel Core Ultra 7 155H. Nasza analiza wykazała również, że AMD również tutaj wyprzedza.

Wydajność systemu

W syntetycznych benchmarkach systemowych wyniki są mieszane: Mały Snapdragon wypada dość słabo w międzysystemowym CrossMarku, ale testy przeglądarkowe pokazują inny obraz. W praktyce przez większość czasu nie zauważa się żadnych różnic w stosunku do szybszych układów Snapdragon, a system Windows jest bardzo płynny i responsywny. Mieliśmy jednak kilka sytuacji, w których system miał lekkie zacięcia lub przerwy, na przykład podczas wybudzania z trybu gotowości lub w ustawieniach. Jednakże, o ile korzystają Państwo z natywnych aplikacji, nie powinno być problemów z wydajnością. Omówiliśmy już szczegółowo problemy z aplikacjami x86 i urządzeniami peryferyjnymi, a Microsoft również wskazuje na ograniczenia.

Opóźnienia DPC

Nie byliśmy w stanie przeprowadzić naszego standardowego testu opóźnień, ponieważ aplikacja LatencyMon nie działa. Możemy jednak przynajmniej powiedzieć, że podczas odtwarzania wideo 4K z YouTube nie było żadnych spadków klatek.

Pamięć masowa

W testowanym urządzeniu zainstalowano wersję WD SN740 o pojemności 512 GB. Jest to dysk SSD M.2 2280 ze złączem PCIe 4.0 i solidnymi prędkościami transferu. Ponadto wydajność pozostaje całkowicie stabilna nawet przy długotrwałym obciążeniu. Po pierwszym uruchomieniu użytkownik ma do dyspozycji 426 GB. Nowe 8-rdzeniowe modele Snapdragon X Plus są wyposażone w słabszy układ graficzny Adreno X1-45 który jest dostępny w dwóch poziomach wydajności (2,1 lub 1,7 TFLOPS). Mniejszy X1P-42-100 jest wyposażony w wolniejszy wariant z 1,7 TFLOPS i maksymalną częstotliwością taktowania GPU 1,107 GHz. Zasadniczo wydajność jest o 50% niższa niż Adreno X1-85 z 3,8 TFLOPS, a w benchmarkach GPU X1-45 również musi zadowolić się ostatnim miejscem.

Co to oznacza dla codziennego użytkowania? Właściwie początkowo niewiele, ponieważ wydajność jest nadal wystarczająca do podstawowych zadań, w tym odtwarzania filmów w wysokiej rozdzielczości. Gry były już problemem w przypadku chipów Snapdragon X Elite ze względu na problemy z kompatybilnością, a sytuacja jeszcze bardziej się pogorszyła w przypadku nowego Snapdragona X Plus i GPU X1-45. Emisja hałasu

Wyraźnie niższa wydajność nowego Snapdragona X Plus ma pozytywny wpływ na wentylatory, ponieważ chłodzenie ma znacznie mniej do zrobienia, a Vivobook S 15 pozostaje ogólnie bardzo cichym urządzeniem. Praktycznie nigdy nie usłyszą Państwo wentylatorów podczas codziennego użytkowania. To zdecydowanie duża przewaga nad szybszym modelem Snapdragon X Elite, który był nieco głośniejszy nawet w trybie szeptu (~33 dB(A)). Zmierzyliśmy również zaledwie 29,7 dB(A) w standardowym trybie wentylatora podczas grania lub w teście warunków skrajnych (dotyczy to również trybu szeptu). W trybie wydajności robi się zauważalnie głośniej (42,8 dB(A)), a tryb pełnej prędkości jest absurdalnie głośny (maksymalnie 51,2 dB(A)). W testowanym urządzeniu nie było żadnych innych odgłosów elektronicznych.

Z temperaturami obudowy Vivobook S 15 nie ma najmniejszych problemów. Obudowa ledwo się nagrzewa podczas pracy na biegu jałowym i wykonywania prostych czynności, a urządzenie można również położyć na udach podczas testu obciążeniowego. Punkt zapalny o maksymalnej temperaturze 49,9 °C znajduje się na spodzie w tylnym środkowym obszarze, gdzie nie powinno być kontaktu ze skórą. Ogólnie rzecz biorąc, temperatury pod obciążeniem są również o kilka stopni niższe niż w szybszym modelu Snapdragon X Elite. Nie ma żadnych ograniczeń podczas korzystania z klawiatury.

W teście obciążeniowym z połączonym obciążeniem CPU/GPU, karta graficzna stale pracuje z pełną częstotliwością 1107 MHz, podczas gdy rdzenie CPU szybko osiągają poziom 2,7 GHz. Temperatura układu wynosi nieszkodliwe 70 °C.

Patrząc na czasy pracy na baterii, można zauważyć, że Vivobook S 15 z nowym Snapdragonem X Plus wytrzymuje dłużej tylko pod pełnym obciążeniem niż model X-Elite. Zarówno w teście WLAN, jak i teście wideo przy 150 cd/m² wypada nieco słabiej. Wyniki na poziomie odpowiednio 12,5 i 14,5 godziny są ogólnie dobre, ale niektórzy konkurenci Intela oferują jeszcze dłuższe czasy pracy.

Zasadniczo koncepcja z nowymi 8-rdzeniowymi modelami Snapdragon X Plus jest dobra, ponieważ nadal oferują one wystarczającą wydajność do codziennych zadań w wyraźnie niższej cenie, o ile nie chcesz grać w gry. X1P-42-100 jest pokonany przez konkurencję w prawie wszystkich porównaniach wydajności, ale nadal jest to responsywne urządzenie samo w sobie. Dużą zaletą jest zauważalnie niższa aktywność wentylatora i ogólny poziom hałasu. Wielu użytkowników prawdopodobnie nigdy nie usłyszy wentylatorów. Poza tym jest oczywiście dobra obudowa z wystarczającą liczbą złączy, dobre urządzenia wejściowe i bardzo dobry panel OLED 120 Hz.

Nowy 8-rdzeniowy Snapdragon X Plus jest wyraźnie wolniejszy od Snapdragona X Elite, ale dostajemy też znacznie cichsze wentylatory. Jednak cena 1 149 euro jest po prostu zbyt wysoka.

Należy oczywiście wziąć pod uwagę ograniczenia wersji ARM Windows, ale największym problemem jest cena nowego Vivobooka S 15. RRP wynosi 1 149 euro, co znacznie przewyższa oczekiwania względem nowych modeli ze Snapdragonem X Plus. Co gorsza, wersja Vivobooka ze Snapdragonem X Elite z 16 GB pamięci RAM i większym dyskiem SSD o pojemności 1 TB jest obecnie dostępna online za 1199 euro. To stawia nowy model w trudnej sytuacji, a my również uważamy, że cena jest zbyt wysoka.
