Mini-LED łączy w sobie zalety tańszego IPS i droższego OLED. Oferuje bardzo szybkie natywne częstotliwości odświeżania IPS z wyższą maksymalną jasnością OLED poprzez lokalne przyciemnianie dla bardziej żywych kolorów. Wadą jest jednak zauważalny efekt "halo" podczas wyświetlania bardzo jasnego obiektu na bardzo ciemnym tle. Poniższy zrzut ekranu pokazuje na przykład biały kursor myszy na całkowicie czarnym tle. Kursor byłby wyraźny z określonymi krawędziami na panelu OLED, ale zamiast tego świeci na mini-LED, ponieważ lokalne przyciemnianie nie jest idealne.
