Przed uruchomieniem poniższych testów porównawczych ustawiliśmy system Windows i MSI Center na tryb wydajności. Ustawiliśmy również system na tryb dyskretnego GPU zamiast MSHybrid. Właściciele powinni zapoznać się z MSI Center, ponieważ wiele kluczowych ustawień jest tutaj przełączanych.

Procesor

Ryzen Ryzen 7 8845HS jest najbardziej porównywalny do Core i7-12700H z których oba bardzo dobrze współpracują z mobilnym RTX 4070. Aktualizacja do Ryzen 9 8945HS w oparciu o nasz czas spędzony z Kataną A15, oczekuje się, że zapewni jedynie bardzo marginalny wzrost wydajności o maksymalnie 5 procent.

Dla porównania, CPU i GPU w Maingear ML-16 ustabilizowałyby się przy znacznie wyższych temperaturach, odpowiednio ~100 C i 85 C, w podobnych warunkach.

Proszę zauważyć, że tryb Cooler Boost (tj. maksymalny tryb wentylatora) nie ma większego wpływu na wydajność w grach, co pokazują poniższe zrzuty ekranu. Hałas wentylatora jest ogólnie cichszy niż ten, który zarejestrowaliśmy na starszym modelu Katana 17. Mówiąc dokładniej, nasza Katana A17 jest w stanie pozostać cichsza przez dłuższy czas, zanim osiągnie plateau na podobnym poziomie hałasu jak poprzednio.

Proszę zauważyć, że istnieje znacząca różnica w poziomie hałasu podczas grania z wyłączonym Cooler Boost zamiast włączonym (51 dB(A) vs. 60 dB(A)), mimo że różnice w wydajności są bardzo niewielkie. Dlatego też w większości scenariuszy zaleca się grę z wyłączonym Cooler Boost.
